BUTLER, Mr. Richard C. "Dick"
Kalamazoo, MI Died Monday afternoon May 21, 2012. Dick was born July 31, 1930 in Grand Rapids, Michigan a son of Carlton and Lucy Silloway Butler. Years ago, he honorably served with the U.S. Navy. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 2006, coming from Valrico, FL. Dick was employed with Texas Instruments as a mold maker for 9 years before retiring. He was also a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-granddaughter, Payton; 2 brothers, Dick's twin, Bob Butler and James Butler. On April 14, 1956, he was united in marriage to Geraldine "Gerrie" Boening Butler who survives. Also surviving, 2 children, Richard "Rick" Butler of Grandville, MI and Robin Grandstaff of White Pigeon, MI; 2 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Diabetes Association. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
