Ricci Wetzel

WETZEL, Ricci Kalamazoo Passed away Monday, January 21, 2008. She was born January 12, 1952 in Lansing, the daughter of Theodore Colthorp and Elaine Colthorp Cramer and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for many years. As a dedicated Christian, Ricci was a member of the Word For Life Church of God. She was actively involved in the Kalamazoo Refuge Ministry where her heart was ministering to the homeless. Ricci loved all of God's creation and enjoyed gardening and raising rare birds. She developed many lifelong friendships while working for Tops in Toys Home Parties based in Eaton Rapids and also through working for Midwest Business Exchange for the past 4 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Cramer. Ricci is survived by her husband, Michael; their children, Ross Michael Wetzel and Jori Renee Wetzel both of Kalamazoo; her father and step-mother, Theodore Nathalie Colthorp of Eaton Rapids; her step-father, Gerald Cramer of Mattawan; her brothers and sisters, Terri Johnson, Todd Michelle Colthorp, Timothy Jill Colthorp, Jan Bozeman, James Suzanne Cross Colthorp and Elizabeth Mark Trawczynski; and a large extended family. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday in the First Congregational Church, 129 S. Park St. with Pastor Jeff McNally officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Kalamazoo Refuge Ministry. Arrangements were made by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St.
