HULLIBERGER, Rev. Alan L.
Of Vicksburg, Michigan Went home to be with the Lord, Sunday evening, July 6, 2008. Alan was born May 20, 1942 the son of Lavern and Elsie Stauffer Hulliberger. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1964. Prior to his retirement Alan was a minister in the Church of the Nazarene serving congregations in Greenville, Clare, Lansing, and Saginaw. After retiring from the ministry, he worked as an accountant with McDonald and Associates for several years. Alan was a member of the Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, skiing, riding motorcycles, camping, and needlework. Besides his parents, Alan was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Batterbee. On September 12, 1964 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, the former Sherry Cummings, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Gregory Sheri Hulliberger, Julie Krieger; 3 grandchildren, Mickayla and Abbigayle Hulliberger, and Hunter Krieger; brother and sisters, David Nancy Hulliberger, Doris Lavern Beckwith, Alice Granger, Kathy Alex Powell; and many nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Alan's life will be held 10:00AM Thursday at the Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene, 7520 East U Ave with Rev. Mark Rigg and Dr. John Seaman officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. Friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre. Memorials may be directed to the Indian Lake Nazarene Camp.
