Rebecca Davis Russcher

RUSSCHER, Rebecca Davis Kalamazoo Becky passed away peacefully Sunday evening, March 25, 2007, following a courageous 3 year struggle with ovarian cancer. She was born April 13, 1959 in Niles, the daughter of Lazell and Evelyn Ernsberger Davis. Becky has taught developmentally disabled young adults through Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency Kalamazoo RESA for more than 23 years, including at Croyden Avenue School and the Young Adult Program YAP. She is a member of Second Reformed Church, where she taught Sunday school. On June 19, 19-93, she was united in marriage to Todd Russcher, who survives. Also surviving are their three children, Davis, Shelby, and Bryce Russcher; her parents, Lazell and Evelyn Davis; two sisters, Beth Ann Pat Cooper of Holland and Mindy Davis of Niles; grandfather, Jessie West of Lawton; mother-in-law, Glennyce Ivan Moerman of Kalamazoo; father-in-law, Allan Becky Russcher of Fennville; four sisters-in-law, Glennyce Michael Grindstaff of Fishers, IN, Heidi Tim Berry of Carmel, IN, Joy Russcher of Kalamazoo, and Judy Kleis of Kalamazoo; three brothers-in-law, Joel Karen Russcher of Holland, Greg Lynn Russcher of Kalamazoo and Terry Kathy Moerman of Lawton; Sharon Moerman of Mattawan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Becky will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Second Reformed Church, 2323 Stadium Drive, with Rev. Ralph Robrahn officiating. Interment will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition or Second Reformed Church to assist in her children?s education.
