Passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008. Ray was born January 11, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Thomas and Anne Shields Walley. He was a longtime Kalamazoo resident and was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. For over 15 years he was employed with the Kalamazoo State Hospital. Surviving are his mother, Anne M. Walley of Kalamazoo; brothers and sisters, Donald Lisa Walley of Kalamazoo, Diane Farley Tucker of Schoolcraft, Phil Walley of Kalamazoo and Cheryl Mike Anderson of Kalamazoo; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-5 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street where Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday. A private interment will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorials in Ray's memory may be directed to the M.S. Society or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. www.langelands.com
