LITTELL, Raymond C.
of Kalamazoo Passed away January 10, 2012 at Bronson Hospital. He was born March 15, 1932 in Penn Yan, NY to the late Herbert and Renee Valette Littell. Ray was united in marriage to Mary Roberts on March 5, 1955. Mary preceded him in death on February 6, 2011. Ray served in the U.S. Army for nearly 3 years, in the 96th Field Artillery Unit, in the Korean War, until honorably discharged. He became a life member of the local VFW Post 827. Ray was a pipefitter with General Motors for 28 years until he retired. Among Ray's many interests were spending time with his family at his cottage and had great enjoyment with many years of fly-fishing. Surviving Ray are his children, Craig Littell of Kalamazoo and Steve Littell of Portage; 1 granddaughter, Katelynn Littell; brother, Roland Littell; sister, Mary Lewman; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his Lake Geneva family, including Brad and Sue, Cindy and Mike, Jim, and Lennie and Loretta; the "Governor" of the lake will be dearly missed. Also preceding Ray in death were brothers, Herbert Littell and Robert Littell; and sister, Cecelia Bilski. Services will take place Saturday, 2:00 o'clock at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where family will greet friends from 11:00 - 2:00, prior to services. Interment will follow at the Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park chapel. Memorials may be directed to a charity of your choice.
