Raymond Beach

BEACH, RAYMOND Portage Age 77, passed away peacefully at Borgess Medical Center, August 9, 2015. He was born in 1938 to the late Perry and Ida (Newton) Beach. Ray was retired from the City of Kalamazoo Parks Department. He loved his "four-legged daughter" Lexi, attending car shows with his 48' Mercury, going on casino trips with his friends & family; and somewhere in the mix, his wife of 40 years Jan Miller. Ray is survived by Jan and his children, Terri (Rick) Eichorn, Dan (Leslie) Beach, Randy (Pam) Beach, and Kelly (Betsy) Beach of Mason; step-son, Mike (Terrie) Miller; 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving are, 2 sisters, Rosie and Pauline; 2 sisters-in-law, Edith and Nancee; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ray was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Lucille, Bud, Norma, Eddie, Fred and Art; an infant son, Perry, and an infant granddaughter, Michelle. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15th, at 11 o'clock, at the Langeland Portage Chapel, 411 Centre Ave., with longtime friend Bob Wheelright presiding. Friends may visit at the Chapel beginning at 10. "Ray's Final Ride" will conclude with entombment at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South.
