Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away at home, Saturday, January 3, 2009. He was born December 28, 1931 in Stevensville, the son of Albert and Esther Mueller Hoge and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for many years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Savior, where he served on the Church Council and had been employed by Borroughs Tool Manufacturing for over 43 years. During the Korean War, he served his country in the United States Army and was a Life Member of the Comstock VFW, Post 6252. Ralph and his wife, Anna, were faithful members of the Borgess Health and Fitness Center since the opening of the center. On September 18, 1965 he married Anna M. Bowen, who preceded him in death on May 10, 2006. He was also preceded by his parents. Ralph is survived by his children, Rebecca Stephen Northcott of Eastpointe, MI, Tonya Dinda of Walker, MI , Judy Terry Landin of St. Petersburg, FL and Michael Sutton of Warren, MI; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a sister, Stella Arthur Brunke, Sawyer, MI; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Lutheran Church of the Savior, 3616 East G Avenue, with The Rev. Dennis E. Remenschneider officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and on Wednesday, at the church, beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of service.
