BUSSOTT, Rafael Anthony "Tony"
Of Kalamazoo Tony, age 73, of Kalamazoo, passed away Friday afternoon, September 7, 2012, while surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on February 8, 1939 in Highland Park, MI, the son of Rafael Sr. and Maria Hernandez Bussott. Tony attended Morris School for Boys in Searcy, AR, where he found his spiritual beginnings that he carried throughout his life. In 1958, he joined the United States Navy, where he served two years. Tony will be remembered for the joy he took in life. He was an avid golfer, martial artist, and car enthusiast. Surviving are his five children, Pamela Eric Dahlin, Anthony Sharon Raymond Bussott, Douglas Lynne Bussott, Thomas Amy Bussott and Lisa Michael Collier; nine grandchildren, John, Joseph, Alec, Lauren, Staci, Anthony, Jenna, Zander and Ava; his girlfriend, Donna Pesch-Thomas; sister, Rosa Marcum; and the many people who loved and respected him. Funeral services for Tony will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, where friends may visit with the family from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
