BELL, Phyllis Marie
of Galesburg Passed away Thursday morning, January 10, 2008 at her residence. Phyllis was born June 13, 1910 in Bronson, MI the daughter of Boleslaus Fred and Magdalene Czajkowski Kibiloski and had lived in Galesburg since 1934, coming from Ludington following the birth of her children. Phyllis and her husband Glenn owned and operated Bell's Bakery and Bell's Drive Inn Old Nick's Root Beer Stand in Galesburg. They were strong supporters of their local community. She was renowned as an outstanding friend, employer, and mentor. Phyllis was a member of the Galesburg Lioness Club and in her spare time enjoyed fishing, crocheting, bingo and card games with her many friends, and family get-togethers. On April 12, 1929 she was united in marriage to Glenn R. Bell who preceded her in death in 1988. She was also preceded in death by her four brothers, David, John, Clyde, and Clifford; and a sister, Margaret. She is survived by son Francis Eleanor Bell of Galesburg and daughter Margaret Jack Tibbitts of Augusta; four grandchildren, Linda Charles Grdina, Jeffrey Bell, Nancy Rodney Alman, and Kathleen William Elliott; great-grandsons, Justin, Brandon, Maxwell, Caleb, and Jonathan; great-granddaughters, Sophia, Zoe, and Natalie; a sister, Tina Keeslar; a brother, Robert Delphine Kibiloski; sisters-in-law, Mary Johnson, Delcie and Eva Kibiloski; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends. Services will be held 11:00 o'clock Monday at the Galesburg Congregational United Church of Christ, 22 S. Church, with Rev. Whitney Brown and Fr. James O'Leary officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Galesburg. Friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W.
