INGRAHAM, Phillip A., Sr.
Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away March 8, 2008 at his residence. Phil was born March 13, 1946 in Battle Creek, MI, the son of Glenn and Margaret DeMond Ingraham and was a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. He graduated from Otsego High School in 1964. Phil enjoyed working with wood and started employment at Miller Lumber making cabinets and later worked into estimating. He later worked with the Lam-Fab Company in Battle Creek and most recently with Woodsmith, Inc. where he was valued by his employers and spoken well of by his customers. Phil was able to do all aspects of construction and remodeling. He was preceded in death by a sister Jacqueline Ingraham. Surviving are 2 daughters and 1 son, Kimberly and Daniel Dow of Paw Paw, Laura Ingraham of Paw Paw, Phillip Jr. and Ronella Ingraham of Chino, CA; 5 grandchildren, Kendra Dow, Nicholas Horn, Jared Dow, Charlotte Horn and Phillip Ingraham III; 3 brothers, Ronald and Pat Ingraham of Elgin, IL, Dean Ingraham of Kalamazoo, Brent and Donna Ingraham of Versailles, KY; twin sister Phyllis and Ken Howe of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. with Pastor Buddy Turner of the First Baptist Church of Paw Paw officiating. Inurnment of cremated remains in Gilson Cemetery in Scotts. Friends may meet the family on Wednesday from 6-8 pm and on Thursday from 1 - 2 pm at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Phil's name may be made to the First Baptist Church of Paw Paw or the National Geographic Society, Development Office, 1145 17th St., NW, Washington, DC 20036.
