VADER, Peter A.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Monday, March 24, 2008 at his home. Pete was born November 4, 1924 in Kalamazoo to the late Arie and Grace Zwart Vader. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII until he was honorably discharged. He was united in marriage to Edith Ingraham on March 3, 1947 who preceded him in death on November 23, 2003. Pete loved his family and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of VFW, Post 6252. Surviving Pete are his children; Carl Terry Vader of Lake Isabella, CA, Larry Mary Vader of Phoenix, AZ and Karen Steve Nellis of Wyoming, MI; grandchildren, Timothy and Rebecca Nellis and 5 step-grandchildren; brother, John Jean Vader and; sister, Martha Leak. Preceding him in death were brothers, Andrew and Richard Vader. Services will be held Saturday, March 29th at 11:00AM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, Kalamazoo. Interment following at the Mt. Ever-Rest Chapel. Family will receive friends from 6-8:00PM, Friday the 28th at the Memorial Chapel.
