Plainwell, Michigan Loving husband, father and grandfather, Peter passed away on Tuesday, November 11, at the University of Michigan Hospital, following complications of his second open heart surgery. He was born August 5, 1941 in Kalamazoo, a son of Dr. Carl Rex and Nell E. Schuur Moe and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Peter was employed in the banking business for 45 years, most recently with First National Bank of Michigan. He had a passion for sailing, fishing and skeet and clay pigeon shooting. Peter is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda Stroup Moe of Plainwell; their children, William Carolyn Moe of Grand Rapids, Patricia Joseph Scane of Clarkston, Dr. Kathleen Moe Allie Watkins of Washington, DC, and Matthew Moe of Little Rock, AR; 8 grandchildren, James, Rex, Isabelle, Sydney, Hagen, Griffin, Cormac and Caroline; a brother, Tom Jane Moe of Constantine; a sister, Katherine "K.C." Coke Gunter of Hickory, NC; nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services or visitations are planned.
