Plainwell, MI Passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015. Age 50. Peter was born in Tampa, FL on March 29, 1965. He graduated from Lynn Public Schools in Massachusetts. He served with the United States Army, where he was a Single Channel Radio Operator, received his qualification as a Rifle M-16 Sharpshooter and received the Army Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal, Overseas Ribbon and the Army Good Conduct Medal. He attended DeVry Institute of Technology, where he received his Bachelors of Science in Electronics Engineering in 1990. He enjoyed computer technology, golfing and baseball. Peter coached for the Northwood Little League in Plainwell. He loved spending time with his family and attending his children's sporting activities. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Cassandra Silva Duchesneau; four children, Brittany Duchesneau, Kari Gabhart, Lauren Duchesneau and J.E. Duchesneau; two sisters and one brother, Audrey Richard Adams, Deidre Scott Cullen and Daniel Duchesneau; several nieces and nephews. Peter was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Duchesneau; his father and step-mother, David Duchesneau and Barbara Duchesneau; and his daughter, Megan Duchesneau. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22nd at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009. The funeral service will be held at the funeral chapel at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 23rd . Rev. James Dyke will officiate with interment in Ft. Custer National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
