Peter Bax

BAX, Peter Portage Passed away Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Tendercare Portage, after 20 years of suffering with Multiple Sclerosis . He was born January 8, 1944 in Aalsmeer, Netherlands to the late Jan and Ann Luimee Bax. In 1956, he then immigrated to the United States. Although his family was first and foremost, he was an avid dune-?buggiest?, which he loved to both, build and drive. He had been a HAM Radio operator since the age of 16 and was a member of the HAM Radio Club of America. Surviving him are; children, Michael K. Virginia Bax of Kalamazoo and Kelli Ann John Hasper of Kalamazoo; sisters, Seija Allan Suter and Gertie Bax Rick Visel; and his children?s mother, Betty Bell Grady. Preceding Peter in death was his brother, John Bax. A memorial service will take place, Wednesday, August 29th, 1:00PM, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., Portage, Rev. James Dyke, officiating. Visitation will take place at the chapel on Tuesday, 6-8:00PM. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
