Peggy Marie Aube

Peggy Marie Aube, age 59, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 in Kalamazoo. Peggy was born on March 3, 1953 to Jack A. and Joan A. Perry Aube; she was a 1971 graduate of Farwell High School. Peggy's passion in life was caring for her family and friends as well as the sick and elderly and in 1975 she became a certified nursing assistant. She was an exceptional aide, kind and caring; she went out of her way to make sure her residents were comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Peggy worked in several nursing homes throughout the state and in 1990, settled in Galesburg while working at The Laurels. Peggy was a wonderful person, loved her family and friends, and was generous with smiles and hugs. No matter what was happening in her own life, Peggy was always willing to listen and offer advice. Peggy is survived by her devoted son, James J. Aube and his fiancé, Sanae Hammond; her sisters, Terry John Kittle of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Tina David Keifer of Climax and Patti Aube of Farwell; her nieces and nephews, Janice DeAmicis, Emily Brian Gates, Jennifer Rick Glaser, Jack Onstott and Paige Onstott; and her great nieces Olivia Gates, Lauren Gates, Savanna Glaser and Delaney Glaser. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Service celebrating Peggy's life will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at 11:00am at the Galesburg United Methodist Church, 111 W. Battle Creek Street, Galesburg with Pastor John Moore officiating. Cremation has taken place with arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions in Peggy's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
