WEBSTER, Pearl A. Stewart
Of Kalamazoo, Michigan Pearl went to be with her Lord Monday noon, March 16, 2009 at her daughter's home in Holland. She was born December 29, 1911 in Canon City, Colorado, the daughter of Walter and Martha Hamlin Smith and raised by her loving Grandmother Hamlin. She graduated from County Normal in 1930 and taught school for 2 years. Pearl was employed by James River Co. for 19 years until her retirement. She was a charter member of Northeastern Baptist Church and served the Lord faithfully all her life. Pearl was married to Ralph E. Stewart on March 28, 1934 until his passing on August 9, 1995. On March 14, 1998, she was married to Cecil R. Webster until his passing on December 21, 2005. Also preceding her in death were her parents; 1 grandson, David Stewart; 1 great-grandson, Isaac Stewart; and 2 brothers, Wesley and Milo Smith. Surviving are her 2 children, Carole Robert Wolters of Holland, and Gary Judy Stewart of Rockford; 5 grandchildren, Scott Sheila Stewart of Rockford, Daniel Nancy Stewart of Port Huron, Brian Julie Wolters of Holland, Kevin Ramona Wolters of Holland, and Jeannette Ben Gerth of Holland; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 6 step-children and their families; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Pearl will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Northeastern Baptist Church, 6536 E. G Avenue, with Pastor George Coon, Pastor Daniel Stewart, and Pastor Ben Gerth officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to Northeastern Baptist Church, Kalamazoo or Ventura Baptist Church, Holland.
