DRUBA, Pauline M.
Of Scotts, Michigan Pauline passed away Friday morning, August 29, 2008. She was born March 8, 1921, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of John and Veryl Munson Ruimveld and has been a lifelong area resident. She was a 1939 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School and a graduate of Mars Business College. For over 45 years she owned and operated the family dry cleaning business Modern Cleaners. Pauline was a member of the Climax American Legion Auxiliary and had volunteered with the American Red Cross at Borgess Hospital. She was an excellent seamstress, quilter and enjoyed gardening, bowling and dancing. On February 14, 1945, she was united in marriage to Chester E. Druba who preceded her in death on June 2, 1981. Pauline was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Juanita Ruimveld and Veryl and Carl Solomon; her first husband, Dean Clow and by her sister, Arlene Varga. Surviving are her daughter, Terrie Tooley of Scotts; her son, John Druba Cindy Heemstra of Scotts; grandchildren, Brett Doris Druba, Macy Andrew Przybocki and Chet Jackie Stuut; great-grandchildren, Skye, Ania, Grazyna and Andrzej. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. where funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday with Steve Fryling officiating. Interment will follow in Boughton Cemetery.
