METZING, Paul S. Of Kalamazoo, MI Passed away early Sunday morning, October 4, 2009 at Friendship Village. He was born October 14, 1930 in Germany, the son of Siegfried and Betty Hube Mäetzing. On April 11, 1954, Paul was united in marriage to Frances Foster in Kalamazoo. He joined the United States Army serving 2 years during the Korean Conflict from 1954-1956. In July 1957, Paul began work for Heath Co. in Benton Harbor for the next 18 years, until January 1976. In 1979, Paul began employment with U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command TACOM as a technical editor and writer until his retirement in 1994. Preceding him in death were his wife of 54 years, Frances Metzing on November 30, 2007; his parents; and one sister Brunhild Mäetzing. Surviving are four children, Steven Metzing, Kevin Metzing, Donna Ray Wolfram, Kimberly Antonio Martinez, and also to include, Mark Joan Ross; two grandchildren, Jenna Brian Rensch, and Alex Wolfram. Memorial services for Paul will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 16, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Private interment will be in Ft.
