Paul Kuiper

Paul Kuiper, age 83, of Kalamazoo passed away September 28, 2022. He was born February 24, 1939 in Emmen, Netherlands to the late Johannes and Martja (VanderVeen) Kuiper.

Paul kept up an active life, speed skating and playing soccer as a child and eventually becoming a dedicated cyclist. He was an avid soccer fan, loved to indulge in sweets—especially black licorice, and more recently enjoyed his daily word search puzzles. Paul worked in Tool & Die manufacturing for the majority of his career and finished out as a machine repairman at Durametallic (Flowserve) prior to his retirement.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and daughter-in-law, Kari Kuiper.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Darlene (Dailey) Kuiper; children, Mike (Robin) Kuiper, Greg (Sharla Renshaw) Kuiper, and Paul (Traci) Kuiper; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A private family viewing and cremation will take place in accordance with Paul’s wishes.
