KREILICK, Paul Emil
Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008. Paul was born October 24, 1914, in Swanton, Ohio, the son of John and Lena Rausch Kreilick and has been a Kalamazoo resident for over 85 years. During WW II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater and had been awarded the Navy Air Medal. For over 50 years he was involved the wholesale lumber business. He was owner of Kreilick Lumber and later managed then owned Lumbermen's Cedar Source/Lumbermen's Warehouse. Paul was an avid golfer and a member of the Kalamazoo Country Club where he had served as President in the early 1950's. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Kreilick and by two brothers, Herbert and Edwin Kreilick. Surviving are his son, Thomas K Lisa Brenner Kreilick of Chicago, IL; his daughter, Kristine R. Kreilick of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren, John Heather Kreilick, Eric Johanna Kreilick and Katie Ken Stein; great-grandchildren, Tashina, Uriah, Violet, Anna, Emma, Brianna, Abbi and Tommy; a special longtime family friend who he informally adopted as a daughter, Cathy Tom McCormick of Schoolcraft. In accordance with Paul's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a time and place to be announced later. Memorials in Paul's memory may be directed to the Glen C.
