FREESTONE, Paul Wallace
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Paul was born March 16, 1938 in South Haven, MI the son of Roger W. and Virginia Cargo Freestone and was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. He served his country in the United States Navy and was employed by the Upjohn Company for 25 years. He was a member of the Eastwood Fire Department for 25 years and attended Bethel Baptist Church. On February 23, 1963, he married Laurel Chapman, who survives. Also surviving is their son, John Sara Freestone of Portage; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Carter and Hannah; and a sister, Peggy Taylor of Kalamazoo. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 2:00 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with Pastor Jack Roomsburg and Elder Edward D. Palmore, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow in Green Bower Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Kalamazoo Christian School Association, the Gospel Tract Society or the Eastwood Fire Station.
