WARNER, Patricia J. Brown
Of Portage Patricia passed away Friday afternoon, October 23, 2009 at her home with her family by her side. She was born August 25, 1930 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Harold and Orta Beers Brown. On October 31, 1952, Patricia was united in marriage to Philip Warner. She was employed as a medical assistant for many years for Dr. Cooper, Dr. Callender, and the Portage Medical Clinic until her retirement. Preceding her in death were her husband of 52 years, Philip Warner; her parents, Harold and Orta Brown; and two brothers, Richard Brown and Robert Brown. Surviving are two children, Linda Andrews of Vicksburg and Kevin Warner of Portage; two grandchildren, Jordan Brandy Andrews of Vicksburg and Shane Andrews of Vicksburg; one sister, Beverly Horter of Edwardsburg; and several nieces and nephews. Patricia was a loving wife, mom, and grandma and a wonderful loyal friend to many. She had a great love for animals, especially her dog, Duffy. Memorial services for Patricia will be at 2:00 PM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Avenue with her nephew Rev. Dr. Timothy L. Brown officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Private interment will be in Portage Central Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or Arthritis Foundation.
