Patricia S. Versluis Roy

ROY, Mrs. Patricia S. VerSluis Novi, MI Passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Patty was born October 27, 1953 in Kalamazoo, MI, a daughter of Lewis G. and Geraldine N. VanderRoest VerSluis. Patty graduated first in her class from Northwestern School of Nursing and worked in the cardiovascular lab at Borgess Medical Center and William Beaumont Hospital. She loved traveling, snow skiing and all water sports. Her greatest accomplishments were being a loving wife to her husband and a wonderful mother to her children. Patty was preceded in death by her parents. On December 23, 1997, Patty was united in marriage with Ronald Roy, who survives. Also surviving are: two children, Ethan Ronald Roy age 11 and Emma Susan Roy age 4; a step-daughter, Jennifer Roy; two sisters and their husbands, Cheryl & Thomas Dick of Kalamazoo and Louanne & William Collins of Portage; three nieces and a nephew, Melissa Joe Hoskin, Matt Collins, Mindy Collins and Allison Collins; a mother-in-law, Anne Lamon. Services will be held 2:00 Saturday afternoon at Second Reformed Church, 2323 Stadium Drive, with the Rev. Ralph Robrahn, officiating. Private interment in Mount Ever-Rest Cemetery will be held later. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Patty?s children?s college fund, checks payable to Ronald Roy
