Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Thursday morning October 2, 2008 at her residence. Patricia was born November 11, 1959 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Dalton and Grace Curtis Middlebrooks. She was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School and had been a lifelong Kalamazoo resident. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Charles Huff. She is survived by a daughter, Emily Ballard of Portage; a granddaughter, Jozlyn Ballard of Portage; her parents, Dalton Grace Middlebrooks of Kalamazoo; 2 brothers, Donald Hose of Sterling, MI and Jeff Hose of Almena; 3 sisters, Lois Hose and Susan Embler both of Paw Paw, and Lori Huff of Mattawan; best friends, Mike Brussee and Jay Paul; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 1 o'clock Saturday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family for college expenses for her granddaughter, Jozlyn Ballard. www.langelands.com . 343-1508.
