Patricia “Patty” Louise (Bagley) Livingston went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning, January 6th, 2024. She died peacefully at Rose Arbor Hospice following a general decline in health.
Patty was born to Carl J. and Mildred V. (Hobbs) Bagley on January 28, 1943, and was the eldest of eight children. In 1964, she married Cecil C. Channells III, and together, they had four daughters.
She was a member of Oakwood Bible Church and devoted her life to bringing others to the Lord through Child Evangelism Fellowship, Vacation Bible School, and teaching Children’s Church. She was known to hundreds of children as “Gospel Grammy” and “Miss Patty”.
As a military wife, she worked as a special education assistant and a church secretary. Patty also provided daycare for many Campus Crusade for Christ children and was involved in Girls Scouts for many years.
Patty adored taking care of her grandchildren.
Patty returned to Portage in 2012 and continued her work teaching children about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In 2018, she met her knight in shining armor, George R. Livingston; they were married in March of 2019. George doted on her and lovingly watched over her until her death.
Patty is predeceased by her parents, Carl and Millie Bagley; her brother, Carl J. Bagley, Jr.; and sisters, Dianne K. Pickrell and Phyllis E. Jenkins.
She is survived by her husband, George; her daughters, LeAnne Brown, Heather Vecchi, Leslie McKillips, and Heidi Renedo; two stepsons, David Livingston and Paul Livingston; and her siblings, William J. Bagley, Timothy J. Bagley, JeanAnne F. Bowers, and Shannon D. Bagley; thirteen grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, as well as her wonderful siblings-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Her presence is profoundly missed. We are comforted to know that she resides with the Lord, and we will be together again.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. To view Patty's personalized web page, please visit https://www.langelands.com.
