Patricia Sue Jones

July 21, 1956 — March 3, 2024

Kalamazoo, Michigan

Patricia Sue Jones of Kalamazoo, Michigan, died peacefully on March 3, 2024, at the age of 67. Patricia was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois, on July 21, 1956, to the late Joseph and Mary (Waiters) Jones.

Patricia grew up in Chicago Heights, where she attended Thornton Township High School. She studied art at Northern before going on a different path. Patricia chose the path of mom as her job, making her only child, Tiffany, her priority in life. She loved art, music, cooking, and talking politics with her sisters.

Patricia was a spiritual woman, whose relationship with God she held closely. Pat, as she liked to be called, was always the life of the party. She was bold, unapologetic of who she was, and funny as hell. She was known for always “keeping it real”. She was also loving; she was a mom for more than just her only child. She was Nana for more than her biological grandchildren. Pat left a lasting impression on everyone she came across in life. Her passing will leave an indefinite void in those same people.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Tiffany (Paul) Peplinski; bonus daughters, Jennifer and Danielle; grandchildren, Paul, Xavien, Aniyah, Arielle, Aviona, Leah, and many bonus grandchildren; siblings, Sheila (Charles), JoAnn (Ray), Lenda, Brenda (Steve), and Willie Mary; nieces, Jennifer and Jessica; nephews, Seneca, Breck, Eric, and Lamonous; former partner, Roy.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Cynthia and Joseph, Jr.; nephew, Brandon; brother-in-law, Richard.
