Patricia Ann Eodchick, born on December 10, 1924, in Kalamazoo, MI, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 24, 2025.
Patricia was a graduate of St. Augustine High School and Parsons Business School. Prior to her marriage, she worked as a stenographer, telephone operator, and bookkeeper.
She met her beloved husband of 59 years, Walter, a young Navy ensign in downtown Kalamazoo in 1943. They were married after WWII at St. Augustine Church on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1946.
Patricia was a devoted and loving mother of eight children: Carol Osborn, Margaret (Michael) DeLucas, Rosanne (Charles) Melson, Susan Anello, Patricia (John) Ouderkirk, Kathleen (Mike) DeRose, and Michele (James) Allen and Michael Eodchick. Patricia was the proud grandmother of six: Richard and Thomas Osborn, Sarah and Mark DeLucas, and Beth and Rebecca Allen. Additionally, she was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Paul and Emily Osborn. She is also survived by her sister Rosemary Staus, and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was predeceased by her husband Walter, her parents Thomas and Anna Spicketts, her sons-in-law Joseph Anello and Richards Osborn, her sister Dolores Howes, and her brother Thomas Spicketts.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Augustine Cathedral on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior. Following the mass, burial will take place at Ft. Custer. In lieu of flowers, her family requests memorial contributions to St. Augustine Cathedral or Centrica Care Hospice.
