BOVEN, Patricia E.
Of Kalamazoo Pat passed away early Wednesday morning, March 31, 2010 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born October 18, 1941 in Carr Settlement, MI, the daughter of the late Frank and Vera Miller Peterson. Pat earned her Master's Degree in Education from Western Michigan University. In Oct. 1978, she was united in marriage to Ted M. Boven. Pat worked as a school teacher for Bangor Public Schools until her retirement in 2000. She and Ted enjoyed traveling and spending time at there property in Branch. Pat also enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Ted Boven; three children, Marcia Michael Anderson of Portage, Kathleen Michael Lynch of Freeland, and Jim Maria Gleeson of North Carolina; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Roberta Ron Trethewey of Branch, Lynn Roger Wilcott of Muskegon, Roger AnnaMae Peterson of Branch, Laurie Mike Hedman of CT, and Sandy Matt Gougeon of Marquette; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Pat will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with Rev. John Vick officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Comstock. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
