Pamela Kay Decker

Age 72, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025. Pam was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on October 10, 1952, the daughter of the late Morris and Alice (McManus) Mesick. Pam loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always looked forward to celebrating holidays and birthdays with her family and friends. Pam enjoyed playing all sorts of card games, including Yahtzee and Rummy with her late best friend, Karen Nast. She also loved going out to eat. Pam is survived by her daughters, Rene (William Haluch) Decker-Haluch and Tricia (Michael Sims) Decker; son, James Young; grandchildren, Daniel (Sierra) Harding, Veronica Riggins, Kadin Decker, Chandler Sims, Charlie Young, Hunter Haluch, and Skyler (Cameron Baiers) Haluch; great-grandchildren, Ava and Maddox Harding and Scarlett Baiers; sister, Linda Flory; brothers, John Mesick and Dave Dekam; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. A memorial service to celebrate Pam’s life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009. A time of visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM. Private interment will be at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
