formerly of Michigan Passed away at 7:20 PM on March 11, 2011 at Medco Health and Rehabilitation Center, French Lick, Indiana. Frank was born on January 15, 1947 to Oscar F. and Lucille Bennett Sanders, Sr. He married Diana Thornton on October 28, 2001 and she survives. Frank is a 1965 graduate of Portage Central High School, Portage, Michigan and of Western Michigan University and had worked as an Automotive Engineer at Burroughs in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was a member of the French Lick American Legion Post #76 and the English VFW. He is survived by his wife, Diana Sanders of French Lick, son, Jared Melanie Sanders of Ponder, Texas, step-sons, Mike Jacquie Thornton and Tim Victoria Thornton both of Portage, Michigan, daughters, Heather Pegg of Bay City, Michigan, Natalie Don Rau of Thompsonville, Michigan, and Andrea Sanders and her fiancé' David of Washington D.C., sixteen grandchildren and one on the way and one great grandchild with one on the way. He is also survived by a brother Charles Sanders of Titusville, Florida and a sister, Cindie Williams of Spring, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends, Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 5 PM until 8 PM, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave where the funeral service will be held Friday, March 18, 2011 at 1pm.
