Orval A. Lake

LAKE, Orval A. Naperville, IL Formerly of Kalamazoo Mr. Lake passed away at his residence, in Naperville, Monday morning, April 9, 2007. He was born January 2, 1910 in Kalamazoo, one of three children to the late Ernest and Anna Hale Lake. On October 17, 1947, he was united in marriage to Norene Rice in Kalamazoo, who preceded him in death on March 5, 1999. Orval is also preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lela Carey; and three step-sons, Robert, Bill, and Jim Snyder. Surviving are one sister, Irene Schaaf of Wabash, IN; his step-daughter, Sandra Chuck Matrau of Howard City; several step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo. There will be no visitation.
