Formerly of Lakeland, FL Went to be with his Lord Monday, October 15, 2012. Orval was born May 31, 1917 in Centerville, Iowa the son of Ailey and Georgia Stewart Glaspie. Prior to his retirement he worked for over 37 years for Allied Paper as an electrician. He was a member of Kalamazoo First Assembly and enjoyed spending time with his family. On December 31, 1936 he was united in marriage to his loving wife of 76 years, the former Aileen Dickey, who survives. Also surviving is a grand-daughter, Linda Stan Francisco; great-grandson, Michael Francisco; son in law, William Bowman; a sister, Belva Stratton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Bowman; and brother, Robert. Friends my meet the family Thursday today from 1-2 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick. Graveside services will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery at 2:15pm.
