Norma E. Wiessner

WIESSNER, NORMA E.
of Portage, Michigan Norma Eleanor Wiessner, age 95, passed away December 30, 2013 in Portage, MI. Norma was born July 29, 1918, in Cooper Township, the daughter of Walter and Veda Barringer Bump and has been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. On May 13, 1938 she was united in marriage to Frederick C. Wiessner. They were longtime residents on Long Lake in Portage. Norma enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and loved playing her organ and piano. On May 30, 1997 she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; also preceded by a grandson, Greg. Surviving are three sons, Ramon Sandra Wiessner of Winter Haven, FL, Ronald Mary Wiessner of Gobles and James Pamela Wiessner of Vicksburg; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Monday, January 6th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. where a service to celebrate Norma's life will begin at 11:00 AM Monday. A private interment will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South.
