Of Kalamazoo, MI Passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012. Age 82 years. Norma was born in Kalamazoo on February 1, 1930, the daughter of the late Claude and Gaylen Kensey Snyder. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and was married to Myrland Shutes on January 15, 1949; he preceded her in death on June 17, 2010. She was a member of Kalamazoo United Methodist Church and she enjoyed arts and crafts. Surviving are a son, Greg Shutes of Kalamazoo; and two nieces, Sue Doug Boss and Pat Ray Bowers all of Kalamazoo. Norma was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Snyder. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012. Rev. John Boley will officiate with interment in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
