DUNHAM, Norma Jean
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Went to be with the Lord October 15, 2013. Norma was born December 17, 1929 in Comstock, Michigan. Norma was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area, never living more than 10 miles from where she was born. Norma was active in churches that she attended. She was a member of Lighthouse Community Church and Yorkville Community Church. She also served her community through Borgess Service League, where she was formerly the President and Follies chair. Norma was always the first to volunteer at the schools her children and grandchildren attended, or throughout the community helping with various projects. On September 14, 1952, Norma married "the light of her life", Robert Paul Dunham who preceded her in death. They had two children Debra Thomas Ryan and Tim Mary Dunham. She leaves five grandchildren: Jason Lisa Ryan, Christopher Neda Ryan, Sean Shannon Ryan, and Kimberly and Patrick Dunham. Her parents, Bernice and Glen Bucher, and brother Richard Bucher preceded her in death. A devoted wife, supportive and loving mother and grandmother and unwavering follower of Jesus Christ, Norma will be greatly missed by all who had the fortune of knowing her. Visitation to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, October 18 from 5-7 p.m. at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 South Burdick, Kalamazoo, Michigan. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 19 at 11:00 at the Yorkville Community Church, 11523, East D Avenue, Richland Michigan, Pastor Shan Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to: Borgess Foundation, Yorkville Community Church, or Richland Animal Rescue.
