VAN DEN BOS, Norma "Lynn"
of Portage Passed away October 24, 2011 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. She was born July 4, 1944 in Chicago, IL to the late Chester and Florence Whiting Nyman. Lynn married Michiel "Mick" VanDenBos on November 17, 1962 and spent a loving 49 years together. Mick survives. She loved to crochet and was an avid reader. Also surviving Lynn are, her daughters, Laurie and Beth VanDenBos; brother, Dr. Allan Maryann Nyman; sisters-in-heart, Shirley Newberry and Cindy Benson; honorary grandchildren, Alex and Josie Beachnau; longtime family friends, Janice Snell, Joyce Stratton, Barb Shields, Linda Townsend, Betty Sanders, The Hills and The Pennys. Family will greet friends on Friday, October 28th from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. The Funeral service will take place Saturday, October 29th, 11:00 a.m. at New Life Victory Church, 2775 S. 26th St., Kalamazoo. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
