Nina O Anderson

ANDERSON, Nina O.
of Galesburg Passed away March 10, 2009 at Lifespan Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. She was born April 19, 1930 in Galesburg, MI to the late Orrin and Francis Wilkins Spencer. Nina was united in marriage on August 26, 1973, to Ronald Anderson, who survives. She was very active with the Balloon Festival of Battle Creek and was on the committee for the VIP tent. She was active in the Taste of Battle Creek for many years. Her favorite pastime was crocheting and was an avid reader. Also surviving Nina are her children, Dawn James Smith of Tucson, AZ, Robert Janet Canavan of Buchannan, MI, Deborah Gary Gross of Battle Creek, Scott Canavan of Augusta and Donald Pam Canavan of Orlando, FL; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Neldon Marie Spencer; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Steven Byrd. Also preceding her in death were her children, Ronald and John Canavan and Diane Smith; brother, Robert Wilkins. No visitation is scheduled. A memorial service will take place at a date and time to be determined. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W.
