Died Wednesday evening April 22, 2020. Nelson was born February 6, 1938 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Julius and Cornelia (Knapper) Mejeur. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the Canteen Company for over 15 years. Nelson was preceded in death by his parents. On October 25, 1957, he was united in marriage to Frances I. (Nordyke) Mejeur who survives. Also surviving, 2 sons, Michael Mejeur of Sturgis, MI and Bruce Mejeur of Kalamazoo; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (Judy) Mejeur of Grandville, MI; and several nieces and nephews. Private services and burial will be held in Grand Prairie Cemetery at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.
