SCHIPPER, Nellie L.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 7, 2010 at Bronson Hospital. Nellie was born February 20, 1911 in Kalamazoo, MI, a daughter of David and Lena Schrier VanHemel and was a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo. She was a member of the former Kalamazoo Bible Church and more recently attended Hope Reformed Church. Nellie loved all of her family; she enjoyed working in her flower garden and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry J. "Schip" Schipper in 1992 and was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Henrietta "Babe" Erickson and Frances "Tut" Yonkman. Surviving are a sister Marian "Honey" Nickel and a sister-in-law Leora DeVries; many nieces and nephews. Public graveside services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday at Grand Prairie Cemetery with the Rev. Gerald Longjohn officiating. Memorial contributions in Nellie's memory may be made to Chosen People Ministries, 241 E. 51st, New York, NY 10022-6502. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
