Died Monday morning November 2, 2015. Nelia was born September 16, 1935 in General Trevino, Mexico a daughter of Francisco and Eufemia (Cantu) Saenz. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 2001 and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Nelia was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Alicia Smith; and a brother, Armando Saenz. She is survived by 3 children, Hector Miranda of Mexico City, Mexico, Martha (David) Kerns of Kalamazoo, and Eduardo (Ludy) Miranda of Monterrey, Mexico; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Paul Smith of Bonaire, GA; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Saturday, November 14th at Northeastern Baptist Church, 6536 East G Ave. Private burial will be held at a later date. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Bethel Baptist Church. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
