Naomi Joan (Mishler) Robinson was called to heaven on September 27, 2016, from her residence at Bickford Cottage assisted living facility in Portage, MI. Naomi's son, Scott, and his wife, Jody, were by her side when she passed.
Born on July 22, 1937, in Watervliet, MI, to William and Mildred (Stewart) Misher, Naomi had nine sisters and two brothers. She is survived by two of her sisters.
Naomi was a long time resident of Hartford, MI and Warsaw, IN; moving to Portage, MI in 2013 to be closer to family. She was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star and retired from Ace Hardware where she earned many honors.
Naomi is also survived by her three children; (MSgt Retired) Steven Robinson of Melbourne, FL, Tamara (Robinson) Jackson and her husband Eric of Lawrenceburg, KY, and Scott Robinson and his wife Jody of Portage, MI. She also has three grandchildren; Keven Denney, (Sgt) Michael Denney, and Phillip Robinson, as well as two great-grandchildren; Stella Denney and Camden Robinson.
Naomi was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who always enjoyed family visits and reading Nora Roberts novels. She was a true testament to what hard work can accomplish in life. You are whole again and we love and miss you, Mom.
Per Naomi's request, Langeland Family Funeral Homes (Kalamazoo, MI) handled her cremation with no memorial service. In lieu of cards or flowers, family and friends are asked to make donations to Reverence Home Health & Hospice, 348 N. Burdick, Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
