Of Kalamazoo Went to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 10, 2012. Age 90. Naomi was born in Paw Paw Twp. on March 25, 1922, the daughter of the late Fremont and Florence Adams Wright. Throughout the course of her life, she worked for various employers in the food industry. Naomi was a member of the Lawrence United Methodist Church and the Oakwood United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, country music, playing the piano and organ, camping and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was married to Robert Elum Carr on February 28, 1943; he preceded her in death on June 12, 1981. Surviving are three children, Linda Barry Corrie of Lansing, David Vicki Carr of Portage and Joseph Sue Carr of Portage; seven grandchildren, David, Michael, Alan, Matthew, Sarah, Melissa, and Rebecca; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Rewalt of Allegan, Helen Gene Carr of Lawrence, Donna Bowen of Lawrence and Beulah Paul Shadley of Kalamazoo and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Naomi was preceded by two great-grandchildren; and two brothers-in-law, Stan Rewalt and Lew Bowen. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Parchment United Methodist Church, 225 Glendale Blvd., where friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service. Pastor Mike Tupper will officiate with burial in Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
