Nancy Louise (Lau) Sweetland

Nancy Louise (Lau) Sweetland went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 9, 2021. Nancy was born March 22,1936, the daughter of David and Louise (Lamberton) Lau. She graduated in 1955 from Kalamazoo Central High School. She married her high school sweetheart John Sweetland in the First Presbyterian Church on September 29, 1956. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Janet (Lau) Barrett, her brother-in-law Timothy Barrett, nephew Brian Barrett, and her son David Sweetland. Nancy is survived in death by Troy and Mary Ann (Sweetland) Baker, her grandchildren: Kyle Baker, Brant and Allison (Baker) Deemter, nephews and nieces. Nancy worked as a secretary, a playground lady for Portage Public Schools, a retail clerk for Montgomery Wards, and a home care worker for Wellcare Nursing Services. Her love was being with children and dogs. Nancy loved walks around Scotts village where she lived for the last 25 years. She was a long time Moose member.
