Of Kalamazoo Passed away Sunday afternoon, September 11, 2011. Nancy was born January 18, 1948 in Bethesda, Maryland the daughter of Bruce and Beverly VanPelt Thompson. Prior to her retirement she was employed for 25 years with the Stryker Corporation. Nancy enjoyed life and sunsets on the lake. She especially loved the time she had with her grandchildren, and her 2 dogs, Chip and Lucy. Nancy also liked cooking for everyone, puzzles, playing cards, and dominos. On August 7, 1982 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Pete Ruelas, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Lee Myrna Lovely, Tony Ruelas, Tate Debra Lovely, Juan Laura Ruelas, Jennifer Stuart Parr, Branden Sarah Ruelas; 19 grandchildren; 5 brothers and sisters, Kris, Kenda, Karla, Klaude, and Ken; an aunt, Charlotte Connolly; and several nieces, nephews and close friends. Friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. A service to celebrate Nancy�s life will be held at 11:00 o�clock Thursday at the Valley Family Community Center, 995 Romence Rd. Private interment will be held at a later date.
