Climax Nancy Jean King's sewing room is very quiet now. After a very strong and long battle with cancer, Nancy has hung a sign of the door, "Gone To Live With God." Nancy was born in May, 1942 in Battle Creek, MI the daughter of Henry Schwartz and Nina Munger Downs. She turned her hobby and passion into a business and started Nancy's Village Seamstress. Her shop was open for over 15 years and then she continued to work out of her home on many weddings and other specialty projects. She was a part of many community organizations including Climax Methodist Church, the Women's Society, Eastern Star, Rotary and mentoring at the elementary school. Surviving is her husband, James; children, Annette Hensley, Lynnette Doug Wyman and Daniel Dawn King; grandchildren, Justin Wyman, Jessica Hensley and Tyler Wyman; honorable great-grandchildren, Hannah and Ayden Hendricks. She had several honorable grandchildren, Sophie Mansoori, Dakota Cole, Sara Smith, Miles, Garret and Nicholas Scherer; several nieces, nephews, step-brothers and step-sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Schwartz. Funeral services will be held at the Climax United Methodist Church, 133 E. Maple St. on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Glenn Litchfield officiating. Interment will take place in the Augusta Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 E. Maple on Wednesday from 5-8 PM and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 AM until service time.
