Nancy Gettys

GETTYS, Mrs. Nancy Kalamazoo, MI Passed away Saturday evening September 11, 2010 at her residence. Nancy was born August 30, 1952 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Robert and Patricia Robinson Jager. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Bronson Hospital before retiring. She loved her family first and foremost, especially enjoying the grandkids, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Father and her husband, Leonard J. Gettys on January 11, 2007. She is survived by 6 children, Christine Bill Fitzsimmons of Climax, Michelle Vickery, Timothy Gettys, James Vickery, Kelli Gettys, and Kimberly Michael Wilson all of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren, Paige and Billy Fitzsimmons, Chelsey Vickery, Jeremy Thrasher, RaeAnn Lyn Marie Grassnick, Gage "Sammy" Wilson; her mother, Patricia Morgan of Delton; 8 brothers and sisters, James Gail Jager of Parchment, Kenneth Debra Jager of Lawton, John Lulu Jager of Hartselle, AL, Richard Jager of Kalamazoo, Judy Donald Hoolsema of Delton, Karen Mark Chastain of Greenville, SC, Cathy Jager of Bloomingdale, and Trish Austin of Delton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 1 o'clock Thursday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday at the chapel.
