Olekss, Myrtle J.
Of Comstock Died June 14, 2010 at Gull Arbor Senior Living in Richland. Myrtle was born September 30, 1919, a daughter of the Rev. George and Edna Tubbs Osborne and had lived in Comstock since 1941. She was a licensed beautician for 15 years prior to being employed at Borgess Medical Center as an X-Ray Technician for 31 years. Myrtle was a member of the Galesburg United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Glenna Osborne in 1999. Surviving are a daughter Jane Olekss and her companion Ron Ball of Kalamazoo; a granddaughter Kate Ball and Myrtle's feline companions Emma and Daisy. Friends may meet the family this evening from 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery with the Rev. Mona Joslyn officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service may meet at the Comstock Chapel to follow in procession to the cemetery by 12:30 pm. Memorial contributions in may be made to Kalamazoo Animal Rescue.
