SHUTES, Mr. Myrland D.
Kalamazoo, MI Died Thursday morning June 17, 2010. Myrland was born February 28, 1927 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Myron and Iva Porter Shutes. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the Kalamazoo Public Schools for 20 years before retiring. Myrland was also a member of the Kalamazoo United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. On January 15, 1949, he was united in marriage to Norma Lou Snyder Shutes who survives. Also surviving, a son, Greg Deborah Shutes of Kalamazoo; and his brother, Ralph Shutes of Kalamazoo. Services will be held 11 o'clock Monday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday. Interment will be in Mt.
