Portage, MI Died peacefully Thursday morning November 15, 2012. Margaret was born March 26, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Evelyn Whelan. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 2006, coming from Chicago, Illinois. Margaret was preceded in death by her mom; and her sister, Eileen and 2 brothers, Larry and Jackie. She is survived by her 2 children, Robert Leanne White of Hartford, MI and Doris Timothy McNett of Kalamazoo and her sister Sharon Andy Zehme of Naperville, IL; 4 grandchildren, Tori, Annalise, Christopher and Rebecca; and step grandson Andy; and 2 nephews, Kevin and Brian Zehme. Private services are being held amongst the family with no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center where she was treated with care and respect.
